In modern industrial production, high temperature cement, as a key refractory material, is widely used in the construction and maintenance of industrial furnaces, which provides a solid guarantee for the stable operation of equipment in high temperature environment. I. Characteristics of high-temperature cement

High temperature cement is a kind of binder specially used in high temperature environment, which has the following remarkable characteristics:

(1) High bonding strength

High-temperature cement can maintain strong cohesive force at high temperature, ensure the close combination between refractory bricks, ceramic fibers and other materials, and prevent loosening and falling off caused by high-temperature expansion or vibration. For example, in the lining of blast furnace in iron and steel industry, high-temperature cement can firmly bond refractory bricks together and resist the erosion of high-temperature slag.

II. Types of high-temperature cement

According to different application scenarios and performance requirements, high-temperature cement can be divided into many types:

(1) High-alumina cement-based high-temperature cement

This kind of cement takes high alumina cement as the main binder and is suitable for the environment with the temperature ranging from 1100℃ to 1400℃. It has good fire resistance and corrosion resistance, and is widely used for bonding and repairing ceramic fiber products and foamed ceramic products.

(2) Phosphate combined with high temperature cement

Phosphate-bonded high-temperature cement has a higher fire resistance temperature, which can reach above 1600℃. It can form a stable phosphate network structure at high temperature, enhance the strength and corrosion resistance of cement, and is often used for bonding high-alumina bricks and corundum products.

(3) Acid-resistant series high-temperature cement

Aiming at the acidic environment, the acid-resistant series of high-temperature daub can effectively resist the corrosion of acidic gases and liquids, and is suitable for acid furnaces and reaction kettles in the chemical industry. Its temperature resistance range is generally 900℃ to 1000℃, which can meet the needs of most acidic environments.

III. Application of high temperature cement

High temperature cement plays an irreplaceable role in the construction and maintenance of industrial furnaces;

(1) Furnace masonry

In the process of building industrial furnaces, high temperature cement is used to bond refractory bricks to ensure the integrity and sealing of furnace lining. For example, in cement rotary kiln, high-temperature cement can firmly build firebricks together to resist the wear and erosion of high-temperature clinker.

(2) Installation of ceramic fiber products

Thermal insulation materials such as ceramic fiber blanket and ceramic fiber board need to be bonded and fixed with high-temperature cement during installation. High-temperature cement can ensure the close contact between ceramic fiber products and furnace body, improve heat preservation effect and reduce energy consumption.

(3) Furnace repair

When the furnace is damaged locally, high temperature cement can be used for quick repair. It can cure in a short time, restore the integrity of furnace lining, reduce the shutdown time and improve production efficiency. For example, the service life of the glass furnace can be extended after the local erosion part of the glass furnace is repaired with high-temperature cement.

IV. Quality control of high-temperature cement

High-quality high-temperature cement is the key to ensure the stable operation of furnaces. Therefore, strict quality control is essential:

(1) Inspection of raw materials

The raw materials of high-temperature cement include high-alumina cement, phosphate, refractory aggregate, etc. The quality of these raw materials directly affects the performance of cement. In the production process, each batch of raw materials must be subjected to strict chemical analysis and physical performance testing to ensure that they meet the standard requirements.

(2) production process control

In the production process of high temperature cement, it is necessary to strictly control the technological parameters such as the proportion of ingredients, stirring time and temperature. Through automatic production equipment and precise control system, the quality and performance of each batch of products are ensured to be consistent.

(3) finished product inspection

The finished high-temperature cement needs to undergo a series of strict testing items, including fire resistance temperature, bond strength, corrosion resistance and so on. Only the tested products can leave the factory, ensuring that users can obtain reliable performance during use.

V. Packaging and transportation of high-temperature cement

High temperature cement is usually packed in 25kg plastic woven bag or kraft paper bag, which is convenient for transportation and storage. During transportation, attention should be paid to avoid moisture and damage to ensure that the quality of products is not affected. For mass transportation, container loading can be used to improve transportation efficiency.

VI. Future development of high temperature cement

With the continuous progress of industrial technology, the performance requirements of high-temperature cement are getting higher and higher. In the future, the development of high-temperature cement will move in the following directions:

(1) Higher fire resistance temperature

With the development of high-temperature industry, such as aerospace, new energy and other fields, the requirements for refractory temperature are getting higher and higher. Research and development of high-temperature cement with higher fire-resistant temperature will become an important direction in the future.

(2) Better corrosion resistance

In the complex industrial environment, high-temperature cement needs to have stronger anti-erosion ability to cope with the erosion of acid, alkali, oxidation and other chemical media.

(3) Environmental protection

Under the background of increasingly strict environmental protection policies, the production of high-temperature cement will pay more attention to environmental protection. Developing low volatile organic compounds (VOC) emission and pollution-free high-temperature cement will become the future development trend.
