How To Insulate Aluminum Silicate Fiber Paper in Industrial Furnace

In industrial furnaces, aluminum silicate fiber paper mainly achieves heat insulation effect in the following ways:

I. Low thermal conductivity

Aluminum silicate fiber paper has a very low thermal conductivity, usually between 0.03 and 0.17 W/m k. This low thermal conductivity makes it possible to effectively prevent heat from transferring from high temperature area to low temperature area, thus reducing heat loss and improving energy utilization efficiency.

II. High temperature stability

Aluminum silicate fiber paper can withstand high temperature up to 1300℃ and maintain stable physical properties at high temperature. This high-temperature stability enables it to be used in the high-temperature environment of industrial furnaces for a long time without performance attenuation.

III. Construction of thermal insulation layer

In industrial furnaces, aluminum silicate fiber paper is usually used as the inner wall material of furnace lining. It can be attached to or wrapped around the furnace wall, door, roof and other parts to form a layer of heat insulation. This kind of insulation layer can significantly reduce the external temperature and protect the equipment from high temperature damage.

IV. Sealing and expansion joint treatment

Aluminum silicate fiber paper is also used as sealing material for expansion joints of furnace doors and furnace bodies. It can effectively prevent high-temperature gas or heat from leaking through the gap, thus further improving the heat insulation effect.

V. Construction and installation convenience

Aluminum silicate fiber paper has good flexibility and machinability, and can be cut, folded and installed conveniently. Even on the surface of the furnace body with complex shape, it can be closely attached to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the thermal insulation layer.

VI. Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection

Using aluminum silicate fiber paper as heat insulation material can significantly reduce the heat loss of industrial furnaces, thus reducing energy consumption. In addition, it does not contain harmful substances such as asbestos, which meets the requirements of environmental protection.
