Instructions for Use of High Temperature Cement

The following is a description of the use of high-temperature cement, which integrates the construction methods, precautions and other contents:

I. Preparation before construction

Surface treatment: Before construction, it is necessary to ensure that the surface of the furnace body is clean and free of dust and impurities, especially when construction is carried out on the old furnace, attention should be paid to removing slag, wax and other dirt. For the surface to be constructed, it is necessary to clean it, and remove oil stains, rust and other substances on the surface.

Material inspection: ensure that the high-temperature cement powder is not damp, caked and the liquid cement is not deteriorated.

Tool preparation: prepare mixing tools, smearing tools (such as scraper, brush, etc.) and cleaning tools.

II. Material preparation

Powdered cement: Powdered high-temperature cement needs to be mixed with water for 5 minutes before use. When mixing, it is necessary to ensure that the consistency of the cement is moderate, sticky and flexible, and there can be no granules.

Liquid cement: Liquid high-temperature cement can be used directly. If the consistency needs to be adjusted, it can be adjusted to a suitable consistency by adding no more than 8% water according to the actual use.

Precautions for mixing: Different varieties of high-temperature refractory daub should not be mixed, and it should be strictly prevented from mixing with other materials (such as cement and lime).

III. Construction Methods

Coating thickness: Generally, the coating thickness is 2-3mm.

Brick masonry: ensure that the mortar joint size meets the requirements, with the minimum mortar joint of 0.5mm and the general mortar joint of 3-5 mm..

Masonry should be horizontal and vertical, full of mortar, even mortar joint, staggered joints from top to bottom, built inside and outside, and connected firmly.

Before laying, the positioning line must be drawn, and the masonry should be done block by block according to the positioning line, with one step in place as far as possible and less adjustment.

Excess high-temperature cement on the brick surface should be cleaned up in time.

Bonding of fiber products: the bonding between refractory bricks or fiber products, with a coating thickness of 1-2mm, can squeeze out the internal surplus products by rubbing the bonded products, thus rapidly increasing the bonding strength.

Fiber-to-fiber bonding can be achieved by using a brush, and after a thin layer is brushed on the surface, it can be bonded.

Emergency repair treatment: When repairing the furnace, if the cracks are too large, 2-3mm refractory particles can be properly added to the high-temperature refractory mortar, and then mixed and filled in the cracks.

Construction environment: the temperature of the construction site should be between 10-35℃, and the ambient air humidity should be lower than 80%. When the temperature is too low, the curing time of the cement will be prolonged accordingly. If necessary, measures such as raising the ambient temperature or baking can be taken to cure it.

IV. Curing and Inspection

Curing conditions: at room temperature, the curing time is about 30-60 minutes.

The curing time is about 15 minutes under the heating and drying environment of 75-100℃.

Inspection: After the construction is completed, it is necessary to check whether the cement falls off.

V. Storage and transportation

Storage conditions: the high-temperature cement powder is packed in a paper-plastic composite bag in a double-layer airtight way, so it can't be affected with moisture or rain during storage and transportation. The product should be stored in a dry and cool place, away from heat sources, direct sunlight or rain, and it is strictly forbidden to put it sideways or under the pressure of heavy objects.

Service life: the storage period of the product is 12 months, and the ideal storage environment temperature is above 5℃ and the relative humidity is 40%-50%.

Disposal of surplus materials: After the product is used, if there is surplus product, it is necessary to seal the inner bag and cover the barrel lid to prevent the product from contacting with air and causing curing reaction.

Reasonable use of high-temperature cement and strict compliance with construction specifications can effectively improve construction quality, prolong the service life of the furnace and ensure production safety.
