In Which Industrial Fields Are Refractory Mastics Most Widely Used

As an important refractory material, refractory mortar has been widely used in many industrial fields, especially in high temperature environment, which makes it an indispensable material because of its high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and high bonding strength. The following are the most widely used industrial fields of refractory mortar:

I. Steel industry

Iron and steel industry is one of the main application fields of refractory mortar. Refractory cement is used for lining building and repairing of high temperature smelting equipment such as blast furnace, converter and electric furnace. For example, in the building of blast furnace body, refractory mortar can ensure the close combination between refractory bricks and prevent the corrosion of high temperature slag and molten metal. In addition, refractory mortar is also used for sealing and heat insulation of ladle, heating furnace and other equipment.

II. Cement industry

In cement production, refractory mortar is widely used in lining masonry and repair of cement rotary kiln, preheater and other equipment. Its good high temperature performance and corrosion resistance can effectively prolong the service life of kiln lining and improve production efficiency.

III. Glass industry

There is also a great demand for refractory mortar in glass manufacturing industry. Refractory cement is used for sealing and heat insulation of furnace wall, furnace bottom and flue of glass melting furnace. For example, in tunnel kiln, glass kiln and other equipment, refractory mortar can withstand high temperature and chemical erosion, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the furnace.

IV. Ceramic industry

The roller kiln, shuttle kiln, tunnel kiln and other equipment in ceramic production need to use refractory mortar for masonry and repair. Refractory cement can ensure the bonding between ceramic fiber products and refractory bricks, and improve the overall structural strength of the kiln.

V. Petrochemical industry

In petrochemical, chemical fertilizer, alkali production and other industries, refractory mortar is used for sealing, repairing and heat insulation of various chemical reactors and heat exchangers. Its chemical resistance and high temperature stability make it an ideal material choice.

VI. Power industry

In high-temperature equipment such as boilers and flues in thermal power plants, refractory mortar is used for lining masonry and repair. Its good thermal insulation and corrosion resistance can effectively protect equipment and improve energy efficiency.

VII. Emerging application fields

With the development of technology, refractory mortar also shows broad application prospects in emerging fields. For example, in the fields of lithium battery kiln and hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing, refractory mortar is used for sealing and heat insulation of high-temperature equipment. In addition, refractory mortar is also used for 3D printing of refractory structural parts, which promotes the development of customized products.

With its excellent performance, refractory mortar plays an important role in many high-temperature industrial fields, and its application scope will be further expanded with the continuous progress of technology in the future.
