The manufacturing process of Shi Ying Shuikou brick mainly includes raw material preparation, mixing, molding, firing and other steps. The following is a detailed production process:
The main raw material of Shi Ying Shuikou brick is high-purity silicon dioxide (SiO₂), which is usually used in the form of quartz sand or fused Shi Ying. In addition, a small amount of additives, such as silicon powder, graphite powder and binder (such as phenolic resin), will be added to improve the performance of the brick.
Ball milling and calcination: quartz sand and other raw materials are put into a ball mill for ball milling to achieve the required fineness. After that, the ground powder is calcined, usually at high temperature (such as 1500~1600℃) to remove impurities and improve the purity of raw materials.
Screening and classification: the calcined raw materials need to be screened to ensure uniform particle size. For some raw materials that need specific particle size, classification treatment will also be carried out.
The treated quartz sand and additives are mixed in a certain proportion. The mixing process is usually carried out in a mixer to ensure the uniform distribution of the components. The mixing time is generally 10~15 minutes.
The mixed raw materials are put into a hydraulic press, and high pressure (for example, 200-250 MPa) is applied for press molding to make a green brick.
Sintering temperature and time: put the shaped green brick into a sintering furnace, usually at high temperature (such as 1500~1600℃), and the sintering time depends on the size and shape of the brick, usually 3~4 hours.
Atmosphere control: the sintering process is usually carried out in nitrogen atmosphere to prevent oxidation.
The fired Shi Ying Shuikou brick needs to be slowly cooled to room temperature to avoid cracks caused by thermal stress. The cooled brick needs quality inspection, including appearance inspection, size measurement and strength test.
The qualified Shi Ying Shuikou bricks are packaged, usually wrapped with plastic film and fixed on the tray to prevent moisture and damage. Packaged bricks can be stored in a dry warehouse for transportation.
Through the above technological process, Shi Ying Shuikou brick can have high purity, high fire resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient and good corrosion resistance, thus meeting the strict requirements of refractory materials in steel, glass and other industries.
