The application of high alumina brick in steelmaking furnace is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

I. Furnace top and upper part of furnace body

High alumina brick is often used in the top and upper part of steelmaking furnace because of its good thermal shock resistance and high refractoriness. Although the temperature in these parts is high, they are relatively stable, and high-alumina bricks can effectively resist high temperature and chemical erosion. For example, high-alumina bricks are widely used in the top of electric arc furnaces and converters.

II. Furnace wall

In the furnace wall of steelmaking furnace, high alumina brick can withstand high temperature and chemical erosion, and its low creep performance ensures that the furnace wall remains stable in long-term high temperature environment. Especially for some furnaces that need to be started and stopped frequently, the thermal shock resistance of high-alumina bricks can effectively reduce the damage caused by temperature changes.
