When using high-temperature cement in converter construction, we need to pay attention to the following points:
Temperature and humidity: the temperature of the construction site should be between 10-35℃, and the humidity of the ambient air should be lower than 80%. If the construction environment temperature is too low, the curing time of cement will be prolonged. If necessary, measures such as raising the environment temperature or baking can be taken.
Cleaning and drying: before construction, it is necessary to ensure that the surface of the furnace body is free of dust and sundries, especially the old furnace, and slag wax and other dirt must be cleaned up.
Storage and transportation: the high-temperature cement powder should be packed in paper-plastic composite bags in a double-layer sealed manner, and it should not be wet or rainy during storage and transportation. If the powder is caked, it cannot be used.
Mixing and stirring: powder high-temperature cement needs to be mixed with water for 5 minutes before use, and liquid high-temperature cement can be used directly. When mixing, it is necessary to ensure that the consistency of the cement is moderate, sticky and flexible, and there can be no granules.
Daubing and laying: When laying refractory bricks, the high-temperature cement should be daubed evenly, the mortar should be full, and the mortar joint should be controlled within 1 mm.. If the crack is too large, 2-3mm refractory particles can be properly added to the mortar and mixed to fill in the gap.
Positioning and adjustment: before laying, it is necessary to draw the positioning line, and build the building block by block according to the positioning line, and try to reach the designated position in one step with little adjustment. Excess high-temperature cement on the brick surface should be cleaned up in time.
Construction method: The construction method can be applied manually or mechanically, with a general thickness of 2-3mm.
Avoid mixed use: different varieties of high-temperature refractory mortar should not be mixed, and it should not be mixed with other materials (such as cement and lime).
Inspection and acceptance: after the completion of construction, it is necessary to check whether the cement falls off to ensure the construction quality.
Oven parameters: after the completion of construction, oven should be carried out according to the oven parameters to ensure the solidification of cement.
Curing time: Curing time may vary depending on the ambient temperature and the type of cement, and should be operated according to the specific product instructions.
Storage conditions: the product should be stored in a dry and cool place, away from heat sources, direct sunlight or rain, and it is strictly forbidden to put it sideways or under heavy objects.
Service life: the storage period of the product is 12 months, and the ideal storage environment temperature is above 5℃ and the relative humidity is 40%-50%.
By strictly following the above construction precautions, the construction quality of high-temperature cement in converter can be ensured and the durability and safety of furnace lining can be improved.
