Low cement castable is widely used in iron and steel industry, mainly in the following key parts:

I. Ladle and tundish

Low cement castable is widely used in ladle and tundish. Ladle is an important equipment for holding molten steel, transporting and pouring, and its lining needs to withstand the erosion and erosion of high-temperature molten steel. Low cement castable can effectively prolong the service life of ladle because of its high strength, high compactness and good corrosion resistance.

III. Heating furnaces and soaking pits

In the high temperature section of heating furnace and soaking furnace, low cement castable is used for lining, which can significantly improve the service life of equipment. Its high compactness and low porosity make it show good corrosion resistance and thermal shock resistance in high temperature environment.

IV. External refining unit

Low-cement castable is also used in some parts of external refining devices, such as the liner of integral spray gun for jet metallurgy and the liner of dip tube of vacuum degassing device. These parts need materials with good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength at high temperature.

V. Other high-temperature equipment

Low-cement castable is also used in other high-temperature equipment in iron and steel industry, such as burner and electric furnace cover. The working environment of these equipments requires materials with high strength, high compactness and good thermal shock resistance.
